Walk Now for Autism
July 28, 2008
Once again it is time for Autism Speaks’ Walk Now for Autism. This walk is a fundraising effort to assist in the research of this disorder. Walks are held across the country by the various chapters of Autism Speaks.
This year’s Philly Walk will be September 20th. Here are some more details:
Where: Citizens Bank Park
When: Registration starts @ 8am
Walk starts @ 10am
The walk is a short route.
Aside from the walk part of it, there are so many things to enjoy down at the park. There are countless vendors and resource tables with fun things and information! There are games and play areas. Last year there were bands and countless activities.
This really is a fun time for the entire family and such a worthy cause to get involved in! So much so that once again, we have formed a team! Team DominicsDreams is looking for team members to walk and/or help raise funds. If you are unable to walk, you can still help by collecting donations! If you can do this, please help us help them. As most of you know, Dominic was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder as well as Pervasive Development Disorder. So, neurological disorders hit close to home for my family!
The link to join the team is below, please help out!
